WebSnug ("we", "us", "our") is a website design, hosting and business email service for small businesses in Ireland. Our portal is accessible at portal.websnug.com and our marketing site at websnug.com.

For data protection purposes, WebSnug is the data controller for personal data collected through our services.

  • Account data — your name, email address and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register for a portal account.
  • Business data — your business name, address, phone number, domain name and business email addresses entered during onboarding and site setup.
  • Payment data — payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment credentials. We receive a Stripe customer ID and confirmation of payment.
  • Usage data — session data, IP address and browser information collected when you use our portal.
  • Communications — messages you send us via our contact form.

How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your WebSnug portal account
  • Build and host your business website
  • Set up and manage your business email accounts
  • Process payments via Stripe
  • Send transactional emails such as account activation links and billing confirmations
  • Respond to support enquiries
  • Comply with our legal obligations

  • Contract — processing is necessary to provide the services you have purchased.
